Preserving the Echoes:
Challenges of the Campus Crossroads Project
November 12, 2015

Genevieve Malone
Project Engineer II, Barton Malow Company, Campus Crossroads Project UND

You know the basic statistics: $400 million, 36 months of construction, three buildings. But what exactly happens during construction in order to deliver such a large project? In this talk, ND alumna Genevieve Malone will discuss some of the challenges of working on the Campus Crossroads Project. From preserving the spirit of one of the most iconic college stadiums to keeping the public safe during the football season, she will discuss the not-so-obvious challenges and their (continually modified!) solutions.

Genevieve Malone graduated from Notre Dame’s Civil Engineering Program in 2011. Since then, she helped build the second tallest Air Traffic Control Tower in the country and VA Hospital Addition before returning to her alma mater to help build Notre Dame’s Campus Crossroads Project.
